The new episodes of the second part of the season start soon on New
Zealand's free-to-air channel Prime:

Doctor Who
Prime
8:30pm, Tuesdays (starts 9 April)

On a side note, there's also a new (down here) kids' show by Russell T
Davies starting on Sky's UKTV channel two days before that ...

Wizards vs Aliens
Sky's UKTV
6:00pm, Sundays (starts 7 April)
When aliens come to Earth, two teenage boys are all that stand
between them and the most precious thing in the universe - magic!
An exciting new children's drama created by acclaimed writer
Russell T Davies, which brings together the popular genres of
Sci-fi and Fantasy for the first time in a hilarious adventure
series.

There's likely the usual repeats at other times too.

Note: Sky is changing some of their channel numbers on 1 May, 2013, so
UKTV moves from channel #6 to channel #7.

They say the BBC is now the broadcaster of last resort and from the synopsis
it looks like RTD's true passions are coming out. All Sky have to do is hold
out their hands and keep catching the balls the BBC keep dropping. This
reminds me of IBM versus Compaq... IBM eventually exited the market.

In this case, the BBC will not make the 1990s mistake
of not airing DW.

This is what replaced The Sarah Jane Adventures.
It's believed that a lot of the unfilmed scripts were used on this after the
death of Liz Sladen.

Mixed emotions on this one.

I didn't find it as instantly appealing as SJA although the aliens would
have fitted in nicely. Perhaps the friendship between two boys with nothing
in common took too long to gel. (but then I am much older than the target
audience!) 'Margaret Slitheen' is in it, playing the young wizard's
grandmother.

CORRECTION.

It looks like either Sky (which also owns the frre-to-air Prime channel)
was either being sneaky or simply stupid and published the wrong date and
timeslot throughout the whole Skywatch magazine ... not really a huge
surprise since Sky rarely gets their own schedules right! :o(

According to both the NZ Herald and the NZ TV Guide, the new episodes of
Doctor Who will actually be played on Thursdays, starting 11 April. This
timeslot makes more sense since that's where they were played last time
(although I still wish they'd put it back to being on Sundays!).
