Given the advanced state of Gallifreyan medicine, the bandages
around Andred's face didn't serve any real purpose beyond
garnering sympathy and interfering with speech. They performed
these two tasks passably well.
"Hgmmrph!" Andred emphasized this declaration with a pointed
finger.
"That is the one?" Leela growled. "The short, red one? Wait
here." She stomped across the parade ground, headed for the little
amphibious alien who was drilling the Guardsmen. "Ho there,
Frog Demon! How dare you blow up my husband?!"
Giroro barely spared her a glance. "I'm training _soldiers_,
woman, not ballerinas. Puny little nancy-boys who can't take it
will find themselves combusting regularly if they don't man-up in
short order."
"Weak he may be," Leela argued, causing a noticeable slump in
Andred's shoulders, "but your methods are too evil!"
"Instead of questioning your betters, chickie, how about you sashay
back to your kitchen before I put you over my knee?"
Several minutes of extreme Sevateem violence later...
"Corporal Giroro?" asked a concerned Guardsman. "Are you
dead?"
"No," groaned the alien, spitting out teeth and rubbing bruises
with his good hand, "but I can taste my spleen. What a brutish, ill-
tempered woman." He sighed happily. "Just like my darling
Natsumi..."
