First the varibles:
@ for this variable, said trait is not very rigid, may change with time or
with individual interaction. So if someone likes Cask Strength for some
whiskies and not for others an @ would appear after that category.
() for indicating "cross-overs" or ranges, pretty much the same as above
except with finite limits. The most descriptive comes right after the
category definer then the other end of the range appears in ().
> for 'wannabe' ratings, so if the whisky enthusiast wants to go from one

$ Indicates that this particular category is done for a living, A lucky
lucky person.
? no knowledge of a specific category. Someone who has never had a Cask
Strength whisky would use this after the Cask Strength identifier.
! person refuses to take part in a particular category, placed before the
category marker. Using the Cask Strength example a ! would appear before
the Cask Strength marker if the person refused to drink Cask Strength
whiskies.
On with the categories and modifers. The category will be identified by the
letters outside of the parentheses with the rest of the word contained
inside.

For purposes of this code, given the acknowledged similarities and
acknowledging the distinction, would Talisker be coded as I(slay)?

I came up with a solution, using the tilde as an approximation symbol.
Note that I also have a couple of interesting blended whiskys in my
collection. I plan to taste the remaining regions, but I'm also
interested in exploring small batch bourbons, and am currently between
contracts which means I'm not buying. Until I learn how to optionalize
my newsreader I will not make this my .sig, as it would be off-topic
in some places. So, for informational purposes:
-----Begin Single Malt Scotch Whisky Code-----
W+ Sp+ H+ L? C? I~ CS? S D
IB? ng+ l+ bc+ dh T+
Perhaps a better coding is the one described at
http://www.whiskyclassified.com/classification.html
