The tree saga

I become aware while standing in my friends basement(do not
reconize her as a friend). We are looking at the basement floor which
has patch work linoleum if different designs which over time or by
water damage has come loose from the concrete floor. She wants to fix
it, but I can tell there is no way because of the buldges and etc. I
suggest maybe the best thing to do is replace it. We then go up
stairs to her wood patio which is several feet off the ground but has
stairs going down one side. This time her patio is grey, old
unpainted boards. I walk over to the railing and start looking at the
tree next to the porch. The tree is shaped like the apple tree of my
previous tree dream, but this time it is smaller and there are no
leaves on it, actually thinking it might be a dogwood tree instead of
apple. It must be prespring because I notice buds are just forming
and then spot this grey sock that looks like it has been blown on to
the tree and got hung up in the branches. I reach up and pull the
sock off and actually had to unwrap it off the limb. I wake up just
then.
