In real life, my boss just stepped down and is going to be leaving the
company. There is no new department manager as of yet, and I didn't
bother applying for it either, so I am basically handling things
myself in the department, the bulk of it has to be done in the morning
while I'm there. This probably explains the school setting in the
first dream, and even though it is an uncomfortable setting, it hasn't
been anywhere NEAR the awful dreams I've posted lately about horrible
teachers (nuns and priests, which are NEVER a good dream symbol for
me) doing unfair things, a theme which has been relentlessly plaguing
my dreams for the last few months....a reference to my boss and the
general atmosphere I work in. I think the dream points out that I'm
making the right decision by NOT applying for the management position.
:P
The second I'm not so sure about. Usually when I don't understand a
dream, it quite literally hasn't happened yet.....much like when I
dreamed my bosses' name even before I met her. I had no idea who
"Tina" (name changed for privacy) was, knew nobody of the name, before
I actually met her months later! But anyway I can safely deduce that
my life-choice decisions will become a lot more pleasant in the next
couple weeks/months :)
Comments are always welcome on my dreams.

An interpretation isn't necessary really so it seems but the connections
might be of interest. Chairs always have a special meaning. Comfortable
chairs are shown here and these refer also to special positions. The special
tables emphasize the meaning strongly and it refers to administration,
direction, control, supervision, organization, chairmanship, management
etc.Parts of the chairs (positions, jobs) are occupied, what is indicated
by: "fleecy grey jacket marking their place" The dream shows that there is a
vacancy. For this position one have someone in mind ... have chosen ... plan
to make someone departmental head etc. The kid means high probably a young
qualified candidate that one can grow with the task. It's a bit unclear
however whether the kid comes from the family of the boss, or it is a
reflection on to you?? It looks like a unique offer of a top dog in a
responsible position. It's aptly for a person, who is familiar to meet
decisions as fast as possible...maybe. The next dream could refer to the
topic of decisions generally and you are not sure how to decide.

Wait, I get it now!!!! :) In fact, today's events made it clear. At
work, I have had people ask me if I would move up to department head.
I am right now pretty much full-time and the "lead" coworker....as
close to management without the title (or the pay!!!) My answer was
NO. I did managment before and I despised it. Also they ended up
accusing me of something i didn't do and I was fired for it. (But
they never showed up to my unemployment hearing..HA!)
The kid represents another girl who is coming back from college next
week....she's sort of buddy-buddy with my manager.....and I'm
certainly not :)
The atmosphere, the science class, actually now that I think about it
is where I had a fight in high school. Well almost a fight :) The
whole atmosphere of that room and that school every time I dream about
it is very, VERY bad.
SO, I learned something from this dream.
The students chair is the student's chair. Obviously this girl
belongs where she is now. But I am the student-teacher in the
dream.......hmmm. I have had dreams that more than hinted at a
promotion but AFAIK it's a snowball's chance in hell I'll be
promoted...so I'm not sure whether to interpret this literally at this
point in time. My manager simply doesn't like me enough to recommend
me. But actually I don't care either way. I'm too tired to care.
Which is probably why I was so tired in my dream :)
Thank you Peter, thinking about your comment helped a lot :)

Yes, the feeling while dreaming is a very important indicator. I think the
new "head" needs only the insider knowledge for a certain time (>I am the
student-teacher in the dream.......hmmm.) and then one will be fired.
Unfortunately it's a typical situation. I understand your decision and I
know such situations too. Business is rarely a fair matter. I think one
should not do things, if the conception is wrong!
(2) >I'm too tired to care. Which is probably why I was so tired in my dream

It sounds plausible. If we are tired or we sleep in our dreams it refers to
it that we have NO interest regarding a certain matter or we don't want to
take something in consideration. - The rule is that it will run up and down
in rotating way like alternation of day and night in our lives and so the
next advancement will come to you, Rox!:))
