Flying fish/Croppy cat

I seem to be in my house and I hear a rumbling sound and go
out the back door only to find myself on an old grey boarded porch
that has no railing. I look up and notice that the clouds are almost
all opaque black, what I would call snow clouds. Coming out of the
black clouds are a small school of fish(maybe 6 or 8 in number) shaped
like carp. The leader is a pure white carp, while the others are in
different shades of black and white. Couple mottle black/white and
the last one is almost black. The carp fish right behind the leader
is mostly white with very, very little black. The wind is blowing
really hard and the fish seem to be swimming in this wind trying to
make headway toward where they are going. Scene jumps.
Note: I think this short dream is spiritual in nature. The
sky symbolic of heaven, The fish represent people in different stages
of spiritual growth following a pure white fish being the leader has
completed it's spiritual growth(or God like). Since the fish swim out
of the black clouds or darkness of consciousness coming into the light
and the wind is slowing down(holding back) their spiritual progress.
My take on that part of the dream. You may make comments if you
like.
After scene jumps: I am now back inside the house and see my
cat Croppy (she was born with cropped ears)whom died several years ago
and she has one kitten with her. I go over and pet her as she seems
very glad to see me, even hear her purring. I go get in to bed and
call her and she comes over and gets under the covers with me. Just
then a German Shepard dog runs over and starts to jump on the bed but
I am in the way, so he jumps back down and goes around to the foot of
the bed. I look for the kitten but do not see it, so guessing the dog
scared her into hiding. I wake up just then.
