Boys in the gang -
Jevry, distraction
Kop, Tarey, try to occupy or dirt wollop Lucc
Huard took Lucc's pouch
Misha to bump into Serun
Maikal and Joe - steal the girl's pouches
Caman, Tem, lookouts
Renik - Cut Portia's pouch
[Renik and his urchins / Hanta the houndmaster and his son]
When the guards started coming, Caman and Tem stuck their fingers in
their mouths, whistled, and ran off. With that and the guard's own
whistles, the other boys snapped into action.
Jevry dropped his act of being hurt by the merchant and spun away into
the crowd. The man was dumbfounded.
None of the other boys saw where Huard went.
Maikal and Joe were already on their way when the whistling started.
They slipped down an alley together with the Houndson's money.
Kop and Tarey gave up on trying to take Lucc unawares. A liveried
groom was leading a pair of haltered mares through the market. The
boys scrambled between their legs to get away. The horses must have
been well trained since they didn't rear up, and only stamped and
snorted.
Misha never got close to Dame Mercene. The strand caught him by
surprise and threw him off-balance. Slipping, he ended up within arms
reach of Serun.
Renik saw that he wasn't being followed, so he stopped. Leaning out
from behind a broad-shouldered farmhand, he watched Misha's fall. His
eyes grew to the size of saucers in shock. "Come on, get out of
there!" he thought.

Misha can get collared at this point. He'll be there for a few days,
or a week, at which point if he hasn't been caught I'll post that he
gets away.
[Serun/Others]
With speed surprising in such a large man Serun stepped forward, and
just as quickly bent to lay hold of the fallen boy. His grip was hard,
but not painful, as he pulled the boy to his feet.
Kit had moved to keep an eye on Portia and the children while Serun
handed over his young captive to the Guard.
Guardsman Calino came forward while the other guard began help to get
traffic flowing, and some went off to find the cutpurses. Calino was
of indeterminate years, with just enough elf-blood present to give a
bit of a sweep to his ears, and an angular line to his face. However,
he was human enough to have a beard, and a beard which had gray to
amidst the darker hair. "Looks like you caught one of our little
shadows."
"Got tripped up, I fear," Serun answered. He kept a firm hand on the
lad while the Guardsman fastened a slender bracelet to the boy's
wrist.
Callino looked at the boy, and sternly said, "Keep in mind lad, even
if you bolt we can home in on that bangle. So you just as well walk
along nice."
Meanwhile Emphie was gently tugging on Portia's sleeve, and with
pleading eyes, asking, "Can we bring the puppy home?"
