Ever content to spend the rest of her life nibbling biscuits
and looking for an apartment that would allow raccoons
and an occasional cat.. she stumbled across a post..
It was an innocent post, inviting one & all to a monthly AOL chat.
She emailed the author, asking about it.. Pamela just loved to
chat & a Disney chat sounded just up her alley.. Mr Rouse emailed
her back, in a very polite fashion.. letting her know about Clopin
and how all she had to do was click on the link he gave her..
She was terribly greatful to him. Mr Rouse was very nice and she
looked forward to the chat. This was around January, not too long
ago. She came home from work.. checked her mail.. surfed a little
looked at her watch.. Around 7pm she went to the chat.. only a
couple people were there.. They told her she was too early.. so she
left, rather embarressed. Eventually she came back that evening &
Mr Rouse was there! Happiness! Someone whose name she recognized..
She hoped there would be a RADPer but it didn't seem to be in the
cards for her.. So she chatted Mr Rouse. He was terribly interresting
and she found plenty to talk with him.
It turned out the chat that night did little to spark her interest,
but the chat with Sean did.. Mr Rouse was a wonderful sweet person
and she enjoyed the chats they had that followed.
Eventually Pamela moved to Florida.. a plan that had been in place
for quite some time. When she finally got settled in & signed on
to her new Earthlink account. She was starting to get her bearings
on the non-AOL surroundings and started her postings again to let
everyone know she had made it through. She was ready for some
serious ride time. As luck would have it she cross-posted one day
to A.D.D and Sean wrote her back! He was happy she was in Florida
safe and for not the first time Pamela wondered what that spark she
felt was. Sure she felt it when she chatted with him before...but
she just chalked it up to the talks about the San Francisco sunsets
or the views from the Headlands.. Really! This was Mr. Rouse the
seasoned veteran of the internet.. the all-knowing... Pamela loved
older men, but she just thought he was passing time with some
innocent flirting..(Pamela loves to flirt)
Getting back to the tale, they started chatting again. This time
more relaxed. They found out so many thingsabout each other..
For one,
Sean only *seemed* to be the wizened older gentleman. He was indeed
a gentleman, but MUCH more closer to Pamela's age, than she had
imagined. Pamela shared her thoughts and her heart and Sean
opened himself to her.. They shared their views & experiences.. not
just on Disney but on more personal matters.. Pamela was in a new
place, looking for friendship.. She found it, but not in the place
she expected! Eventually their chats turned into all-night sessions,
then phone calls late at night! Just recently it became an all day
affair.. what better way to spend a lazy Sunday?? =)
Pamela's heart was his! She offered it to him for so many reasons;
because he was willing to listen, because he genuinely cared,
because it seemed that everyday she grew more excited to see him in
her mailbox or online in her 'buddy box'... Everytime he said hello
she could feel the warmth of his welcome envelope her entire being.
It seems to her they are finishing each others sentances and asking
the same questions.. and now it is time to know..for everyone to
know. Pamela is in love with Sean and she can't wait to meet him
for a ride on the ::snuggly:: matahorn or an innocent kiss
by the churro stand for some food & fun...
So next time you're in a chat room with that crazy biscuit eatin'
gal, and she lets out a giggle for no apparent reason, know that
there is a reason.. and it's the oldest one in history. LOVE.

When Pamela entered the chat, there was not too much chatting
about Disney. She did not stay long, but I thanked her for
stopping by. We then ended up chatting and added each other to
our buddy lists. I enjoyed the chats that followed. I could feel
that little spark forming, but then...

When I saw her post, I was so overjoyed. It was great to see a
lost friend return. Now it was time to see if the little spark
I had felt bnefore would reignite.
> Getting back to the tale, they started chatting again. This time

With these chats, I found myself wandering back to r.a.d.p; Sure,
I had glanced at r.a.d.p before, and since I used to post to r.a.d, I
was on r.a.d.p before moving to a.d.d. But now I was reading r.a.d.p
so I could catch Pamela's posts and to read posts from other people
Pamela was talking about.
The spark had become an ember, and then a flame.
Then, before I took a trip to Disneyland, we exchanged addresses and
phone numbers. While I was on my trip, I woke up early just so I
could log on to AOL and chat with Pamela. During my trip, I purposely
ate at Meekos (mmm funnel cake) so I could mail the receipt to Pamela
and surprise her. On Sunday morning, I woke up early to log on to AOL
so I could chat with her. Before my flight home, I called so I could
tell her how my day went.
: Eventually their chats turned into all-night sessions, then phone
: calls late at night! Just recently it became an all day
: affair.. what better way to spend a lazy Sunday?? =)
By this time that flame was now a fire. When I heard Pamela say those
three wonderfully magical words, I instantly responded with "I love
you too." I felt transformed, like The Beast, by my queen of
everything. I know I've said "I love you" to other women, yet this
time it felt different. The othertimes I felt love for them, but
there's a difference between loving someone and being *in love* with
someone. I know from my heart that I'm in love with Pamela.

I'm in love with Pamela, and I can't wait to take her to Disneyland
for the first time and share every moment with her.

I have read both of your individual posts today. This is WONDERFUL! It is
easy to see the feelings that you two are sharing.
After the hard feelings, flames, and problems on this newsgroup lately, it
is great to read a really good story. You have brought happiness back.
Good luck to both of you.

<Snip of two wonderful posts. If you haven't read them yet, do it already!>
Thanks for making my day, you two!
Long may your love live,
Martini
Before the internet?
I have a story. I don't even think I'll change the names because 20
years later it's still a success.
My college friend, Zulma, graduated a year before me and moved into an
apartment a few miles from SJSU and began working on her career. She was
from Puerto Rico, and wrote lots of letters to her family in PR very
often.
One day before work, she left a letter for the mail carrier and forgot
to include postage. The mail carrier, Don, noticed this when he picked
up the letter and left Zulma a note saying that she forgot the stamp and
that he would take care of it (he's a nice guy) for her and have a nice
day. She left him a thank-you note the next day, and probably included a
stamp to pay him back.
This began a note-exchange between her and the mailman. The notes became
longer and longer, more intense. After 6 weeks of leaving letters for
each other, they were in love. Don left a note asking her if she wanted
to marry him, and she said yes. This promise to marry each other
happened before they saw each other... oh, get this... they hadn't even
exchanged pictures.
They met, got married, he quit the USPS, and they moved to Puerto Rico
and they lived happily ever after.
Happy for you, Sean and Pamela!

Given the number of a.d.d couples, I would agree. :)
I have one burning question (I couldn't tell from what you
both wrote)...have you actually ever met in person? If not,
when's it planned for and how many RADPers are invited along
