EPI INTERNATIONAL REPORTS

GREAT FRAGMENTS OF MR LINCOLN: THE DISNEY SUN HAS SET ON HONEST ABE

The end has finally arrived for a Disneyland attraction once among the
park's perennial favorites, "Great
Moments with Mr Lincoln". Although the attraction's end is hardly
surprising, Disney announced Monday
the terms of Abe's "surrender".

"We considered Abe for other attractions," says a Disney insider.
"Pirates of the Carribean was, of course,
out of the question. He was too tall for It's a Small World. Using
him as a Tiki God in the revamped Tiki
Room was an option, but we felt it beneath his dignity somehow."

Sadly, the decision has been made to part Abe out for a profit.

Insider continues: "It was a hard choice, but Abe was a president who
made hard choices. It's a step we
needed to make for the future of this great theme park. We're sure
he'd understand."

Just as light bulbs from the Main Street Electrical Parade were sold
to great success in fall of last year,
fragments of Mr Lincoln (after his appointment with the
chipper-shredder) will be offered for sale on
collectible cards for $25 each. Along with the fragment, the card
will contain a holographic portrait of audio
animatronic Abe in his glory days and the words to the Gettysburg
Address.

Late next year, Abe's head, hands and feet will be auctioned off to
the highest bidder in a special "Great
Fragments of Mr Lincoln American Cancer Society" benefit, themed: "He
freed the slaves, now help him cure
America's #2 Killer!"

Mickey Mouse could not be reached for comment.

I nominate Paul Pressler for Abe's replacement........ot would be the
first useful thing he's done.

Don't laugh.
About 12 years ago, they changed all of the vertical cables on the GG bridge. Yep, you guessed it, sections of the bridge are for sale along Fisherman's Wharf. In addition, I have a friend who worked
on the bridge. he changed broken rivets and has a bucket of genuine GG bridge rivets, complete with orange paint.

About a year ago I heard a rumor from an often reliable source that Mr.
Lincoln would be relocated to the space occupied by The Golden Horse
Shoe Revue and the Lincoln facility on Main Street would become the new
home for The Disney Gallery. The current site of The Disney Gallery was
going to have something new put in, but it was so uninteresting that I
forgot what it was.

Apparently, this rumor is not rue or Disney changed their minds and
decided to scrap Lincoln.

Good, now I can say something exciting happened to me on April Fool's
day. Thank God there's no validity to that rumor.
