FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

BIGOTED POLICIES OF LOCAL NEWSPAPER EXPOSED
San Mateo Daily Journal

Following the tragic and unforgettable events of September 11, 2001 many
more Americans have opened their minds to support for the principle of equal
treatment for all American citizens, regardless of their race, ethnicity or
national origin.

Unfortunately, the San Mateo Daily Journal seems to have allowed that
concept to evade their mindset during their normal course of business.
Although, to their credit, on Tuesday, January 15, 2002 they did begin a
series of articles discussing the pains of discrimination experienced by
particular groups, except European Americans.

When we learned of the series we asked the reporter writing the series and
the editor if some of the problems being faced by European Americans in San
Mateo county could be included. The reporter lacked interest and the Editor
Mr. Jon Mays, without any discussion, hung up on me.

Defamation of and discrimination against European Americans in San Mateo
county is not a figment of our imagination. It is real and it must be
properly addressed by the entire community. Newspapers are a vital source
for alerting citizens to the problem.

It is clearly an improper Journalistic practice to engage in intentional
censorship of vital matters that should be made known to the public.

ACTION: You may wish to respectfully express your feelings on the matter to
the Publisher Jerry Lee (650) 344-5200 or the Editor Jon Mays (650) 344-5200,
or
by e-mail opi...@smdailyjournal.com
