the "new" gurglegroops is much more difficult to navigate
and you can't pinpoint a reference URL to a specific
entry in a thread anymore: among other things,
that are crappier now than "olde gurglegroops"

blech...[thumbs down on "new" gurglegroops]

they really need to bring back the "more options" button.

and it wouldn't hurt bring back the "view profile" button.

where you could see a poster's entire posing history
and not just group snapshots

if google didn't hold the archives, i wouldn't care.

i don't post from google.

but, if they're going to keep an archive

they should at least keep it navigable.

as of now, you have to sift through an entire thread

to see an -archived- post you may want to see.

which can be much more trouble thn it's worth

and you can't set up a 'tinyurl' to such a specific
post within a thread, like you could before.

so, it's no 'improvement'

but maybe that's what they want.

to make it so crappy that people will vacate the premises entirely.

no big deal...

maybe you should give the archives back to deja-news

or just stop keeping them at all.

if you weren't going to keep an archive, i wouldn't care

but you do, and now it's very difficult to naigate.

but deja-news, which has become gurglegroops

used to be a =Usenet= archive [gurgle bought deja-news]

and =Usenet= still exists and is different from gurglegroops

and not -everyone- uses Usenet as a chatroom

albeit, you -can- use Usenet as a chatroom, fine..

if you were going to dump it all after three weeks,

that would be fine

but you are still archiving =Usenet=

and doing a pisspoor job of it...now.
