I copy here what I posted in uk.rec.aviation:

Hi all.
I usually don't follow this group, but I was wondering if anybody
close to Hanna would post the latest info about his condition. It
seems that you have even less info than I have, so I'll tell you
what I know (not much, though)
I was there when it happened, though I didn't see the crash
because I had a building blocking my view of the begining of the
run. The plane had arrived from Girona, making a couple of
low-heigth passes even a 360 degree roll (not a loop, sorry if I
don't know the english words for technical gear and manoeuvres,
my language is catalan and I'm translating literally what I don't
know). Everything seemed ok, the engine sounded great and he was
in full control of the craft. Then he went away and deployed the
landing gear. We saw him pass leftbound at some distance of the
facilities, as he was to land rightbound. Everything seemed ok
until we heared the people who had a clear view of the beginning
of the run shout.
Then I ran to the fence to see if I could see the plane, hoping
to see that the crash was not severe. The plane was in fire, and
I felt very bad, as it looked like the pilot had little
possibilities of not being badly hurt (or worse). Firemen and
ambulances in the facilities were very quick in getting there,
but we couldn't see anymore. The only thing that comforted us a
little was that we heard the ambulance leaving the airport, so at
least we knew he was not dead. When we left, we saw the fence
between the road outside the airport and the run. It was bend,
and some pieces of the aircraft were lying there, as if the
wheels touched the fence causing the crash. Later, from the
highway, we saw the plane body and it was in one piece, though
without wings and landing gear.
The radio said that the pilot's condition was severe.
That night we called a friend of us who has a lot of friends in
the airport, he told us that Hanna had burns but his live was not
in danger.
So the last news I have are from Saturday night. If I find out
anything else, I'll post again.
I'll be following the group for the next days to find out if you
have more news than I have.

Sorry for the long post

Xavi Cheto (from Barcelona, Catalonia)

Sad News all...confirmed tonight that Mark Hannah died on sunday evening
during a second operation.

Apparently he had 90% burns and unconfirmed repports also suggest a broken
back.

My deepesy sympathies to Ray & all at OFMC at this sad time.

Shitty news :-(

Mark was flying the Buchon to the airshow in company with Keith Skilling in
one of the others as well as his Dad Ray.

After the accident they took Mark to hospital but he died from his injuries
at 8.30pm on Sunday night. Mark was a great friend of mine and the warbird
world will be a lot sadder place for a while.
