Guess what eternal-september's policy is about posting to alt.dev.null.

Everybody has to be somewhere. For some people, the
bit-bucket is as good as anywhere and better than most.

I see nothing in their policy against it. I see restrictions for
Control: messages but not for just Approved: messages.

No control messages
No control messages may be posted through news.eternal-september.org
with the following exceptions:
Cancel and supersede messages for your own articles that have been
posted through Eternal-September
newgroup and rmgroup control messages for de.alt.*
You should familiar with de.alt.admin conventions and proceedings
https://www.eternal-september.org/index.php?showpage=terms
Control messages to free.*

Am I overlooking something?

Your use of aioe to post this is interesting. Can you post via aioe
to eternal-september.moderated? I have just tested there. What
about posting to live moderated groups?

aioe does not have eternal-september.moderated. I tried to crosspost but
that did not wok either.

I note that you silently set the followup to e-s.m [denied].
Why was that?

Gravity wanted a followup header, I don't know why.

Silent followups are most impolite.

Also, I note that you have switched newsserver to E-S but my query
was about aioe. You might have said what you were doing.

I have now multiposted this to e-s.m as the appropriate place for this
discussion; I think E-S does not permit crossposts into its own groups.

They would be foolish to allow it, particularly a moderated one.

Anchorage Daily News drops the story, but Eastern Surf Magazine picks it
up.

Having since observed JD's activities in other groups
I conclude that his bona fides are suspect. Who knew?
