Microsoft Word infringes patent so discontinue use

Dear Fellow Computer users: (August 16,2009)
There was a report on a large A.M. Radio station
yesterday that revealed that Microsoft Word has
already BEEN DULY CONVICTED of infringing someones
PATENT.
That patent is extremely valuble. In todays recession,
Microsoft is unlikely to be able to afford to PAY the
full value of that patent.
If you invented something valuble after years of hard
work and obtained a patent on it you would be extremely
dissapointed if some large company profited from your
duly patented invention and paid you nothing at all or
offered you less than 1% of the value of your contribution.
I hereby request that all computer users seek alternatives
to Microsoft Word and STOP USING MICROSOFT WORD and do not
use Microsoft word again until the following settlement process
is completed.
1 )Change all juries to consist of volunteers only in local
and state and federal U.S. courts instead of continuing
to require people to serve on juries.
2 )Allow a jury consisting entirely of qualified volunteers
to decide how much Microsoft Word owes on that PATENT.
3 )Microsoft has ignored many patents in the past. Microsoft should
be punished with the additional punishment of nobody using or renting
or buying
Microsoft Word until every jury trial in the United States
in every federal and state court is switched to an all volunteer
jury system.
Alternatives to Microsoft Word are available. Plan text files
under 48K can use Microsoft Notepad.
Serious computer users should also consider using Linux such as
Fedora or Centos or Suse.
If you install XWindows with Linux the gnome desktop
uses gedit and KDE desktop uses kate or kwrite. These are
easy to use powerful text editors.
If you need more capability or do not install XWindows
VI can be used even though it is HARDER TO USE.
If you install software development at the beginning
with Linux, Download and compile a C listing of a Linux
text editor.
Pretty please do not continue to purchase or rent Microsoft
Office or Word until no one is ever required to serve on a jury
ever again.
Microsoft has stolen inventions and ignored PATENTS
for far too long and also been unfair to competing
companies. We need to show Microsoft who is in
charge.

There is also AbiWord and OpenOffice.org if you need more heavy duty word
processing programs.

That's a good idea, and you should also consider telling your
friends/relatives about Linux.

You're forgetting that Microsoft Word is a word processor, not a text
editor. If users need word processing capibilites, they could use Kwrite,
AbiWord, or OpenOffice.org. They're all F/OSS, and have Linux versions
avaliable.

Tell that to the people who think "Bill Gates invented the Internet".

Again, the stupid masses. They won't switch unless they HAVE to.
