in order to make friends and meet people ,
you have to go where the people are

hop, I can tell by your newsgroups that you are apparently
short and shy. Many men are attracted to short, shy women.
Have you considered going to a nice upscale nightclub and
have a drink? See what happens? If nothing much, don't
let it bother you, because I promise you, the man is most
likely going to be more scared of you than you of him.
They're scared of rejection. But avoid the drunks;)
