Hi Tony,

Can you please tell me what techno-impressionism is?
I have looked through your site very carefuly.. browsing almost every art
piece there. I kind of have feel for what this art is all about.. but I can
not define it with my own words. Will you please define the
techno-impressionism in easy context? Also, is there any famous movie or TV
ad that has used techno-impressionism?
thanks Tony

David,

Techno-Impressionism is a blend of art and technology, with the
technology supporting the art in a way that is transparent rather than
in your face. I'm trying to find a blend of art and technology that will
create images as interesting as those from the first Impressionist
artists. It's a concept I've been working on for more than forty years,
moving back and forth between the art and technology parts as my
interests change.

If you go to the main entrance of the Techno-Impressionist Museum

http://www.techno-impressionist.com

you will find many flavors of this movement. Some of the exhibits
contain humor and parody. Others are serious.

Humor: http://www.techno-impressionist.com/newmedia.htm

Serious: http://www.techno-impressionist.com/nyc1.htm

There's some info about Techno-Impressionism:

And about me: http://www.techno-impressionist.com/artdoc.htm

If you like, I can send you some material that I wrote for a TV station
in Belgium that was working on a story that included the museum.

I'm curious, also, why you asked about illustrations for motion pictures
and TV.

"In our time there are many artists who do something because it is new;
they see their value and their justification in this newness. They are
deceiving themselves; novelty is seldom the essential. This has to do
with one thing only; making a subject better from its intrinsic nature."
- Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec

"There is good art, there is bad art, there is great art, and there is
mediocre art. But very little of it is interesting art."
- Henri de Toulouse-LaTech
