Hi,

I've written some screenplays and want to try to find money to enter
production status.

I'll be needing graphic artist(s) to design poster teasers.

I unfortunately cannot offer you any salary for the moment. Only
things I can guarantee you (by contract) is to pay you retroactively
if I can secure a budget.

It's a take it or leave it deal, sorry, I really have no other
solution for the moment

Might check out www.no-spec.com for the reality of " I unfortunately cannot

offer you any salary for the moment. Only
things I can guarantee you (by contract) is to pay you retroactively
if I can secure a budget. "

Spec work has a documented ROI (return on investment) of ~1%. By comparison,
the slots in Vegas have a ROI of 3-5%

Actually, there probably is more you can offer here -- at least in
terms of information.

What is your track record for selling screenplays? How much
experience do you have in the industry? Do you have an agent
representing you or are you trying to hit up producers yourself?

And finally, why do you think you need "teaser" posters at the stage
of merely selling the screenplay? If the script is solid, it will
sell itself with little more than a good synopisis and introduction
letter included. If it's really solid, and you have an agent, then
your agent should be the one generating the buzz.

Personally, I think you're jumping the gun. At this point of your
development, you need to focus your energy 100% on the writing, not
some poster designs that you can't afford anyway. And if you need a
teaser poster to make your screenplay more appealing, then your script
probably isn't ready anyway.
