What good is the "do not call" list?

Before the list, I was getting 3-5 telemarketing calls a day, most during
dinner. When the list was new, I was down to virtually no calls. Now that it
is several years old, I am back up to 10+ calls a week, including many to my
cell phone. I take the time to report them all, but that doesn't seem to do
anything. I always select the opt-out response, when available, and have
reported a couple of companies 30+ times :-( Anyone with a better experience,
or a better suggestion?
