If you're talking about the new additions, somebody posted a message to
dbsdish.com and said that he'd received a list from a source that laid
out the "hoped for" channel map of the new channels. I simply added it
to my own channel list that I keep for referential purposes. It may be
false, it may change, I may have bounty hunters after me for posting
this. But the way I see it, it came from a public forum, so I just
implemented the rumored additions into my own list.

Channel 218 (America's Voice) is already off the 61.5 bird and only
available on 216 off the 119 bird as of a few months ago.
TVE stands for TV España (TV Spain).
Channel 621 is strictly Discovery en Español. Direct 2 U is on overnights
on Gems TV
Channel 624 was NEVER available. It's been uplinked forever according to
Lyngsat, but I've had the Spanish package since day two and it has never
been available. Maybe in the future. I don't know.
641 I believe is a greek channel
644 is a Lebanese channel.
661 is Greek radio

I don't know anything about OpenTV on Dish. Somebody else might,
though. I figured that PTV on DishPlayer and OpenTV on other platforms
would offer a nice choice. And I thought OpenTV was an addon for any
cable or satellite system.

been reached, yet for Charlie to provide a specific Channel like channel 624
that you mention or USA West or HBO Comedy to us, Charlie still wants the
ability to watch the channel himself and so he uplinks it there for his sole
viewing purposes only... at least until agreements are reached and
contracts are signed to distribute the channel to the rest of us. ;)

I've noticed that Discover Home and Leisure is
missing from your list. Why would they get all of the Discovery networks
minus just one of them?

Perhaps the person whose post I used to add channels to my list was
incomplete. Discovery People is going off the air, though. Odd, isn't
it? I mean, without people, then science, civilization, health, etc...
would not be possible. :/

In reality it is too bad... I'll be one to miss Discovery People... My wife
liked the Wedding story and baby story shows on it, and I liked watching the
old reruns of Real People and That's Incredible... Where else can you find
those old shows these days?
