I am in the process of creating a website with animation about breaking,
question is how far have you got?
I suggest doing crazy legs, footwork and backspin before attempting windmill
or headspin etc.
Once you got the backspin you are nearly half way to a windmill anyway,
first balance yourself on one arm, I put my stomach on my left elbow and
hand on the floor.
You should be able to balance on one arm in this manner, your feet can be
bent back for balance, from this position you tip over onto your left
shoulder and roll onto your back and extend out your left leg which you kick
round to give you momentum to spin round and when your leg has gone as far
as you can kick it around you pull it up straight in the air for balance as
you try to end spinning on your back as high up your back as possible ( your
leg should pull you up to the point between your two shoulder blades, do
this very slowly at first or you may have an accident ).
Watch you dot hurt your groin by whipping your leg around, make sure you
stretch your legs first is advisable and watch your spine as you spin onto
your back, some people use the lower part of their back to spin but catch
the spine.
Practice the moves slowly first, it may seem that doing it fast will help
learning but this is not the case, I tried for ages the windmill by throwing
myself into it, but one day I decided to do it as slow as possible
concentrating on the correct use of legs and I got results straight away.
