"Next Episode 2003" is gearing up to be an entertaining show
featuring the best dance talents. Sponsored by Ariel Dance
Productions, the concert stars eight local dance companies in 15
pieces ranging from Hip hop to Latin to Jazz to Lindy Hop dance
styles.
The concert features the choreography of eight dance companies:
Calistyles, Funky Family, Jaded, Community Street Jam, PCE: Modern
from Cal Poly, Mission College Performance Group, SF Bounce, and
Lindy Hoppers Andrea Owens and Dave Trier. Two performances will take
place on Sunday, December 7, 2003.
The program features three fierce Boogalooing, Waving, Roboting, and
Locking works by Calistyles Dance Company, set to the sounds of old
school funk, classical, hip hop, and R&B music. Artistic Director,
Ceech Hsu will also present two exciting Locking and Hip Hop works
for the Funky Family Dance Company.
Adding to the funk phenomenon, three talented dance companies
including Jaded, Community Street Dance, and PCE: Modern from Cal
Poly will entertain you with today's latest Hip Hop, Street Funk,
Breakin' and Poppin' routines.
Mission College Performance Group will strut their stuff with their
sexy Cha Cha/Merengue and theatrical Jazz routines.
SF Bounce Dance Troupe and Lindy Hoppers Andrea Owens & Dave Trier
will explode the scene with their high-flying, dynamic Lindy Hop, a
style known as the granddaddy of all swing dances. These dancers will
defy the laws of gravity with their aerial lifts and energetic
choreography.
Join us for an evening of dance celebrating Hip Hop, Latin, Jazz, and
Lindy Hop on Sunday, December 7, 2003. The concert will be held at
San Jose DanceSport Ballroom Center, 1824 Hillsdale Avenue, San Jose
