No computers, phones, phone lines, internet.
I thought I'd take the chance to get some choice reading in.
I'm looking for something futuristic and Cyberpunk.
I've read:
All Gibson, Sterling.
Stephenson's Snow Crash, but not the new one.
All books on hackers but 'Masters of Deception' which I've already
purchased and will be bringing with.
Will someone recommend some titles given that my last read was
RIM and I loved it, and before that I finished Snow Crash and loved
it?
I've only got about two weeks to find two or three books.
E-mail or post.
Patrick.

Patrick,
IMHO, try:
HARDWIRED - Walter John Williams (hard tech cp)
STAND ON ZANZIBAR (and others) - John Brunner (1984esque subversion)
Anything by K.W.Jeter (strange but appealing)
And there's another book I reread so regularly that I can't remember what it's
called. Err. <THINKS: shit...try word association...Ummm.. Cop, Drugs, Primary
School. Balls, didn't work>
OK, anyone else? Plot is about a cop, who is trying to investigate a murder at
a Jap corporation (Yes, I KNOW it sounds like that crap film with Wes & Sean),
but the murderer is actually a senior netrunner type, and does lots of
interesting things with building security 'ware. Big guns in it, too.
And too many others to mention... (and I can't remember!)
For diversity try any Iain M. Banks (He big in the states yet?) - best SF
author currently writing, with the (Possible) exception of William G. Not quite
CP, but fab nonetheless.
James the capped crusader. (sic)
