I am the IT manager of a non-profit community organization that is
preparing to enter into a partnership with a local business to take over
management of an Internet Cafe.
We are looking for an affordable basic cafe time-management system that
can we can use to sell time-tickets and memberships for use of:
6 Win2K PC's
2 Mac OS X iMacs
2 RedHat Linux PC's
WiFi access point
Ethernet Laptop Station (same as WiFi)
So far none of the software packages I've found can manage Mac or Linux
stations, and most don't have an option for WiFi time tracking.
It's looking like my best option is to sell time based on internet usage
using the simple hardware-based Zyxel ZyAir B4000. Perhaps with this I
can somehow configure a required sign-on web page for all of the
stations (Mac/PC/Linux) even if they're only going to use local apps.
Any other ideas out there?
Thanks
Greg
Maybe they need a nudge in that direction.
