FACTS CONCERNING BACTERIAL WARFARE IN KOREA AND CHINA
Peking:No publisher listed,1952. vii, 665p. quarto, A most
unusual Chinese document accusing the United States of
bacterial warfare in Korea and China during the early 1950s. I have
been unable to locate a copy of this in any western library. The most
famous member of the commission was Dr . Joseph Needham, the renowned
historian of Chinese science and technology. Illustrated throughout
with many black and white photographs (unpaginated) of documents,
reports, visits to reputed areas of infection, members of the
commission, etc. In ge neral Good condition with Chinese library
paper label on spine. Some slight dogearing of page edges. Spine is
blank with no title. The commission's conclusion:"The people of Korea
and China have indeed been the objective of bacteriological weapons.
They have been employed by units of the U.S.A. armed forces, using a
variety of differenct methods for the purpose, some of which seem to
be developments of those applied by the Japanese army during the
second world war." (p.60). Appendices of docum ents, etc. from
