Nope it was't "Jennifer Slept Here" and it was defintely on TBS. thanks though,
that was a good guess!

the opening credits showed how the woman (who was the maid on the show) was a
flapper in the 20's and i think she got hit by a san francisco trolley or
something like that! Anyway, she was a maid for this family (i think maybe
they were related to her) there was a dad and a boy and a girl (both
teenagers). i've been trying to think of the name of this show forever! please
help! :)

The show is "Down to Earth" with Carol Mansell and the late Dick Sargent.
The kids were played by David Kaufman and Kyle Richards. Produced by Procter
and Gamble Productions. 104 episodes produced 1985-1987.

No problem!

Do you remember those other cheesy sitcoms TBS ran like "Safe at Home" and
"Rocky Road"?

I definitely remember Rocky Road-- that was about 2 sisters? or a mother and
daughter maybe who owned an ice cream shop on a boardwalk-- and I think there
was a policeman on a bike that used to always come into the shop.. does that
sound right?

Can you refresh my memory about what Safe at Home was about?

thanks!

Yep, that sounds about right. And the lead character was played by two
different actresses during its short run.

From what I remember, Safe at home was about a local news or sportscaster
and he had a daughter. The guy was played by Michael J. Cutt who was the
father on California Dreams. That's all I remember except for the nerdy
station intern--don't know the actor's name but he played in that movie
Summer School with Mark Harmon and Kirstie Alley

If you're insane...I'm insane LOL

Can't say whether they are availble--they are pretty obscure shows that have
never been reran since. I think Down to Earth would likely have the most
chance of seeing the light of day again out of all three.
