Thats the BEST part of making cakes!...and brownies...made some yesterday
mmmmmmm!!
: )
Sandy
Here's mine:
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough (Ben & Jerry's is great)
Heavenly Hash
Chocolate Chocolate Fudge
Mint Choclate Chip
Chunky Monkey
Chocolate
Vanilla (yes, I love both Vanilla and Chocolate)
Maple Walnut
Coffee
Cherry Garcia (especially Chocolate Cherry Garcia oh that's totally awesome)
Oh that didn't help much. Now I really want some ice cream, but I'll have to
wait until tomorrow to go to the store. :(
As a kid I loved Thrifty's (it was a chain drug store with a really cheap ice
cream counter in front) brand Mint and Chip and Double Chocolate Malted Crunch.
Now I've "matured" and do the Ben & Jerry's (on sale at my store right now for
$2) Marble Mint Chunk,
Phish Food, Triple Caramel Chunk, the New York One and (especially) Bovinity
Divinity.
The ice cream I miss the most is the "Its It" sandwiches. I can't find them
anymore and they were so yummy. It was oatmeal cookies covered in chocolate
with ice cream inside.
That's not really ten but now you already know too much about my eating habits.

That reminds me of my sister and I when I was little. I had to be about 7 or so
and she was about 15. Does anyone remember the kind of frosting they had that
came in a box mix....before this ready made kind?? well, since we were always
just licking up little bits from the left over bowl, my sister came up with a
great idea....let's make a WHOLE bowl and just eat it!! We made it light green
and we sat and ate the whole thing...YUCK!
I couldn't look at that color for a LONG time...and I STILL don't like frosting
that much, anymore...

7. Wheaties
8. Cheerios

God" on the scale of 1-10. :-)
4. Chocolate Almond
5. Chocolate Fudge
6. Just plain ol' Chocolate
7. Chocolate Marshmallow
8. Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
9. Rocky Road

Life, HoneyComb, Cocoa Krispies, Wheaties. Cocoa Puffs, Kellogg's
Corn Flakes, Froot Loops, Corn Pops, Raisin Bran and Golden Grahams
(which my brother and I liked so much, Mom always had to buy 2 boxes-
one for us and one for herself).
I'm 33 now and still eat all of them but the HoneyComb and the Corn
Pops.

Heh, here in Canada, they're still "Sugar Smacks" and "Sugar Crisp". Guess
it's ok to acknowledge sugar here (but we don't have to list ingredients for
everything!). Heh, sorry, but it amazes me that Canadian food labels can
show you how to say "Polysorbate 80" in french, but we have NO idea what's
in most of our cosmetics. (and certain soft drink companies don't have to
list 'caffeine' as an ingredient, unless they actually add it, naturally
occuring caffeine doesn't count.....)

2. Fruity Pebbles.
3. Pink Panther Flakes (had the best prizes in the box)
4. Boo Berry
5. Franken Berry
6. Cocoa Puffs (back when they had a light, white frosting glazing them.
7. Sugar Chex , with Casper on the box.
8. Total (I loved this even when I was a kid.)
9. Froot Loops
10. Apple Jacks

Is that 10?
1. Franken Berry - easily the best. The combination of strawberry cereal with marshmallows was incredible. Today's version of this classic pales in comparison.
2. Sir Grapefellow - Ahh yes. I used to love the purple milk.
3. Cap'n Crunch Vanilly Crunch - Who do I have to bribe to get this brought back?
4. Freakies - I loved looking at the box while eating the ultra-sweet cereal.
5. Count Chocula - For the same reasons that I loved Frankenberry. Today's version sucks.
6. Quisp - Little saucers just waiting to be chomped.
7. Apple Jacks - I remember when this one first arrived in my local store. I was nine...and in love.
8. Quangaroos - Cool commercials...cooler cereal.
9. Super Orange Crisp - I had a thing for fruity cereals.
10. Sugar Pops - The politically incorrect version...and still classic.

<<1. Franken Berry - easily the best. The combination of strawberry cereal

I liked Franken Berry as a kid, but haven't eaten any in at least fifteen
years, so I haven't had the new formula.
<<2. Sir Grapefellow - Ahh yes. I used to love the purple milk.>>
Kaboom also used to turn milk purple, Kaboom was good in the early 1970's
then they changed versions, and the new version was a pale imitation of its
predecessor.
I only had Sir Grapefellow once or twice, ditto Baron von Redberry its
companion cereal.
<<3. Cap'n Crunch Vanilly Crunch - Who do I have to bribe to get this
brought back?>>
I loved this cereal also, IIRC, it was similiar in shape to the peanut
butter Cap'n Crunch. The white whale on the box was named Wima or Linda, I
don't remember.
<<4. Freakies - I loved looking at the box while eating the ultra-sweet
cereal.>>
Freakies tasted similiar to King Vitamin, I believe both were Ralston
Purina products.
<<5. Count Chocula - For the same reasons that I loved Frankenberry.
Today's version sucks.>>
I liked Count Chocula, but, as with Franken Berry, I haven't eaten it for at
least fifteen years.
<<6. Quisp - Little saucers just waiting to be chomped.>>
I liked Quisp and Quake, and Quangaroos, too bad the latter two aren't
made any more, and the former isn't available in my area.
<<7. Apple Jacks - I remember when this one first arrived in my local
store. I was nine...and in love.>>
I was a big fan of Apple Jacks, and have actually consumed some in the
past year.
<<8. Quangaroos - Cool commercials...cooler cereal.>>
The three Q cereals, Quisp, Quake, and Quangaroos.
<<9. Super Orange Crisp - I had a thing for fruity cereals.>>
You must be the other person who liked them. Everyone I know hated them
and felt they were sickly sweet.
<<10. Sugar Pops - The politically incorrect version...and still classic.>>
They obviously cointain sugar, why bother attempting to hide it. Super
Sugar Smacks, and Super Sugar Crisp, the same cereal made by different
companies, also dropped the word "sugar' from their names.
My other favorites included:
Fruit Bute (Fruti Bruti)
Yummy Mummy (essentially the same cereal)
Rice Krinkles (made by post,IIRC)
Vanilla Cookie Crisp (following the demise of Vanilly Crunch, this was the
first vanilla flavored cereal to be introduced)
Trix (original version)
Fruity Pebbles (original version)
Honey Comb
Cocoa Krispies
Frosted Rice (may have been the early 80's, featured Tony Jr. on the box)
Frosted Flakes
Frosted Mini-Wheats
<<70's Cereal Boxes>
CEREALS
Pink Panther Flakes
Great Honey Crunchers
Lucky Charms
Chex
Granola
Super Sugar Crisp
Raisin Bran
Rice Krispies
Frosted Flakes
Alpha Bits
Honeycomb
Life
Cinnamon Toast Crunch (Although this was from my 80s teenhood, not my 70s
childhood!)
OTHER GOODIES
Breakfast Squares
Frosted Pop Tarts
Danish Go Rounds (strawberry was best!)
Pillsbury Food Sticks
Carnation Instant Breakfast (Yes, the beverage. It was supposed to be a
nutritional enhancer. They still make it, but I remember it being sweeter when
I was a young'un. Is Carnation making it different or is it my taste buds?)
BTW, i ate (and still eat) most cold cereals straight up, no milk.
