Does anyone still have their old Childcraft encyclopedia sets from the
70s? If so, can anyone answer a quick question I have about Childcraft
encyclopedias? I've been trying to figure this out for some time now.
I remember that each Childcraft 15-volume set came with a Childcraft
annual book. I currently have a 1974 Childcraft volume set, and I also
have an annual book ("Magic of Words") dated 1975. Does this 1975
annual book correspond to the 1974 encylopedia set?
I think that's how it worked out; when Childcraft came out with an
encyclopedia set, the corresponding annual book was dated one year
later. So for example, a 1979 encyclopedia set would have an annual
book dated 1980. I think that's the pattern, although I'm not certain.
Is that correct?
If you know the answer to this, I'd really appreciate your help in this;
I'm dying to find out. Thanks so much!
Also, just in case anyone's interested, there are Childcraft
encyclopedia sets on auction at eBay all the time...
Thx!

Before you buy.
I remember that too -- and relating to the original question about the off-year
publication, I have the 1969 World Book Year Book, because that was actually
the edition that covered 1968, the year I was born. Go figure. ;-)

They've got some great CHILDCRAFT encyclopedia sets on eBay. A friend
of mine got a near-mint 15-volume set PLUS dictionary for $33.50. Be
sure to ask for BOOK RATE delivery, since it's only adds $10 for
shipping.
Here's what my 1974 volume set has:
01. Poems and Rhymes
02. Stories and Fables
03. Children Everywhere
04. World and Space
05. About Animals
06. The Green Kingdom
07. How Things Work
08. How We Get Things
09. Holidays and Customs
10. Places To Know
11. MAKE AND DO (MY FAVOURITE!!!)
12. Look and Learn
13. Look Again
14. About Me
15. Guide for Parents
You gotta love the gold-gilding on the pages!
OH, BTW, if anyone's looking for old books, there's www.alibris.com.
This website sells books you never thought you'd ever see again. ;)
