Does anyone else remember the single "Mr. Jaws?" It consisted of an
interviewer-guy "interviewing" Jaws, only Jaws's responses were in the
form of snippets from current hits.
Example: Interviewer: "Mr. Jaws, didn't it hurt when they harpooned you?"
Jaws: "Big boys don't cry (from 10CC "I'm Not in Love")

I would love to find a copy of the single! And weren't there other such
singles with different themes?

I remember the song, I had to make something similar for a project in junior high.
Mine was based on the middle east. I think there was also a similar song about Muhamad Ali.

Not only do I remember this song.....but I have the album. Yes, album. There
are 10 songs all in the same vein ("stories" with song snippets in them). The
tremendously AWFUL thing is that the record got warped on one edge. What
makes this really sad is that Mr Jaws is the first song, and is RUINED. Does
anyone have suggestions on how I can "unwarp" the edge?

Anyway.....the record is on CASH Records and is called Mr Jaws and other
Fables by Dickie Goodman. Good luck in your search.

1975 is dead on. I have audio samples from the beginning, the end,
and also the whole thing, on my 70s page.

Wasn't the Bertha Butt line from the Jim Castor Bunch's "Troglodyte"?

(Which was itself a pretty weird/funny song, no matter who did it.)

Hey David --

For those of us who can't access that one, how about transcribing it here
for us. Please be sure to tell who performed the song clips, too. Thanks a
lot. By the way -- if you have the Convention '72 one, I would love to see
that one, too.

Thanks,
Sara
