The 55-year-old resurfaced at a charity benefit in L.A. last week,
looking nice.

Carol played the babysitter in the original "When a Stranger Calls"
and was nominated for a Best Actress Oscar for the 1975 film "Hester
Street."

Kane's grandparents emigrated from Russia.
