I have been trying to find that movie myself. We (My wife and daughter
and I) watched Ryans Song last week and I told her she should see
Sunshine. She never heard of it. For those that dont remember, its about
this guys wife dying of cancer while he and his buddies play music and
party in the house. He doesnt realize its too late until well..its too
late. He's playing (Song Sunshine over and over) and she's puking and
rotting away dying. In the end he loads himself and his daughter up on a
Honda and they ride off.

So I go to imdb and find that not only was Sunshine an ABC Made for TV
Movie in 73, that it was based on a true story and taken from the
Journal of Jacquelyn M. Helton, but that it also spun off a TV Series in
75 called Sunshine and a special in 77 called Sunshine Christmas. Now
for a show to be that popular, someone else HAD to have seen it. Plus
the cast of characters was a virtual who's who of has beens. They were:
