Here's a question that I just thought of since I was thinking of Dana
Dearden (who is on KLSY FM in Seattle) and Ellen K (who is on KIIS FM
in Los Angeles and co hosts the morning show with the "Disco Duck"
himself, Rick Dees) a few days ago and that is who was the first
female disc jockey in your city? Well here in Seattle back in 1976,
Kacie Summers was the first female disc jockey on KJR AM. Kacie did
the midnight to 6AM shift from January to September, 1976. So who
was the first female DJ in your area?

Neat topic....brings back fond memories for me!

In the 70's I remember waking up to
"Jolley in the Morning" on KILT FM-100
with Lee Jolley and his sidekick was Jane Britt.....she read the news and
they'd chit-chat with one another.
God, I loved to hear her voice !

Also....in the 70's
there was Sheila Mayhew on KILT AM 610..... She started out in Memphis, TN,
and she had relocated to Houston. Let me tell you what....she was a BABE!!

Dayna Steel from 101-KLOL ..... I saw her once hosting a "Battle of the
Bands" at a popular local nightclub here called "Cardi's"......she was a
popular DJ at KLOL and she was also a "hottie" too. <G>

I'm sure there were others but these ladies have stuck firm inside of my
noggin.
