From lung cancer, he was 61.The only place I could find the obit was on the New
York Times obits page so if you subscribe to it online the URL is:

I first remember seeing this guy when he was on the defunct soap
"Ryan's Hope" in the 70s, so there is a 70s connection. IIRC on RH,
Hindman played the brother of flakey Delia, and was a cop or a
detective or something but that's all I remember.

"Home Improvement" was one of those shows that was really popular when it
originally aired, but somehow I never could get into ot. Now, I see the
occasional rerun and think it's pretty good. Wilson was the best part of the
show too.
