NO... it was deleted very quickly. My cousin, who subscribes to the column,
never even got it. He didn't know about the lawsuit, and noticed it was not
in his in-box. I'm hoping someone got it and still has it.

I am sooo crazy. I didn't read the article well enough! That column was
>>> 2002 <<< !!! Not 2003. The link is there without a problem. It looks
like there was a notice of claim filed within the deadline before the
statute of limitations runs. Thanks,
Rob

The suit centers on a column that appeared on the Web site www.lonsberry.com
on June 3, 2002, in which Lonsberry lambasted Pierce for filing a $17 million
breach-of-contract suit against WCMF-FM 96.5 radio host Alan “Brother Wease”
Levin, CBS Radio Inc. and other WCMF employees.
In that suit, filed in May 2002, Pierce alleged that Levin and others at WCMF
breached the terms of a confidential settlement reached in 2000 in a sexual
harassment suit brought by Pierce against Levin and the radio station by
discussing her on the air and with other parties. Pierce had been Levin’s
radio sidekick for nearly 10 years before leaving in 1999 and filing the
sexual harassment suit.
In Lonsberry’s column, he referred to Pierce as a “gold-digger” and wrote that
she was merely an actor performing on the WCMF morning show, and that any
conversations on the station following her lawsuit were not about her, only
about the character she had played. He also said that her problem “stemmed
from an inability to separate that character from her real life.”
According to the suit, which seeks compensatory and punitive damages, the
column contained “false, malicious, defamatory, slanderous and libelous”
statements, which caused Pierce to be “publicly disgraced and humiliated,”
made the subject of “public comment and notoriety” and has “injured in her
good name, reputation, business and credit.”
Pierce’s attorney, Christine Agola, said Lonsberry called her client “mentally
incompetent, some kind of coo-coo.” She added that Lonsberry’s assertion that
the breach-of-contract suit was frivolous has been proved false by recent
court actions.
The breach-of-contract claim is still pending, but earlier this month, state
Supreme Court Justice Thomas A. Stander allowed the suit to go forward.
Stander declared that the settlement agreement did prohibit Levin and others
from talking about Pierce directly or indirectly in any media forum, including
radio, Internet and television, as well as with third parties. Stander also
ordered WCMF to turn over to Agola tape recordings of Wease’s show made since
June 8, 2000.
The suit against Lonsberry was filed Monday in state Supreme Court. It seeks
at least $22 million in punitive compensation.
Neither Lonsberry nor representatives from WHAM returned calls Wednesday
seeking comment. A Clear Channel spokesperson in New York City said the
company does not comment on pending litigation.

This is interesting. Is this person the one who was once known as "Sister
Sleaze" (of the "Brother Wease and Sister Sleaze" show), or am I thinking
of her predecessor?
