I saw 805 in oswego when i was going to college about 15 years ago.
Not only where they very good musicians, but they actually had some
stage presence..and a fairly decent show. They played all over
Syracuse, and upstate NY, and had actually released an album(missed
it...oh shit) on at least a regional level.
Does any one else remember a band called "The Jimmy Carter Show"?
The lead singer's name was Jimmy Carter, he played guitar, too, and
their drummer had a great routine that he did while the rest of the
band was on break.......MISSSSSSSSSSUUUSSSSSSSSS
CAAARRRRTTTEERRRRRRRR....kin Jimmy come out and play?
Thank all the gods that John Valby has hit middle age and is playing
FL on a regular basis to bring his wife and aknowleged children down
for a day or three at disney..
Love, hugs and kisses to anyone who remembers me.......get back to me

I've heard of 805. When I was in high school at RFA they came to do a show
for anyone who participated in a drug awareness program. I probably saw them
in 85-86. Might even have been 84. Seems like it was forever and a day
ago...high school that is. What was the original question about?

I was also looking to see if anyone had any copies of anything by Todd
Hobin.

They were originally called Harpy
They were still playing out(different lineup) a year or so ago but
I've not heard anything lately.

805 origianlly called "Harpy"
Great bar band from Syracuse NY!
The individual is known to us only as Jessie Horning, who was the
mother of twin boys, Eugene and Donald Horning born in Buffalo in 1925,
and left in the care of a Ms. Butler and Mrs. Woodard. Apparently the
mother tried to retrieve the boys but for some apparent reason could
not and the boys died not knowing that their mother wanted them,
beleaving themselves abandoned. At her death, Ms. Woodard left several
letters never shown that show a distraught mother.
The children of these boys also beleave the family did not care
enough to keep up communication but the letters show differant and I
would like to end the loss they still feel and not pass it on to my
daughter. I have apprached the Court Records Dept. but got no
co-operation and know no one there that could gain access.
Jessie may have been Related to a Viola Jorden [sister???] or a Mrs.
Burt Rogers of 131 Buffalo St. of East Aurora, NY, who may have owned
the old Curtis's Motel or Circle Inn Motel that burned down in the late
20's or early 30's as the letters originated from there.
Both boys carry the name Eugene in their full names and may have
been the name of the father, also unknown.
Vilola Jorden lived that yr at 116 Wayne St. Olean, NY.
Jessie also wrote from Niagra St in Buffalo, also post addressed
from 826 Niagrara Street, 186 Niagrara St., 886 Niagarara St, 76 Wayde
St.,
