Maltese translations for Usenet terminology

Regarding the subject of Maltese translations for Usenet terminology.
I think the Maltese newsgroups themselves could form such a standard
rather than it being invented by non-usenet users.

So let's begin with some common words:
article, thread, posted

Here's my opinion:
article should be artiklu.
thread should be "thread". Fil doesn't make sense. We use fil for things like
lines/wires/real thread stuff, but computer thread doesn't make sense (hajta
sounds strange too). Thread has a sense of order to it. Nobody I know who
uses Usenet says 'fil'. The argument may be that fil can mean discourse or
ideas, but thread signifies an order, not an idea!
The italian equivalent would be filo, however the italians don't use the word
probably for the same reason I state. They actually use 'thread' like I
propose. Example:

posted should be impustat, which we use for posting (snail mail) and is
similar to the italian postato (used for Usenet). Example:
