Any good tiki bars or cool loungy bars where I can get a good Mai Tai?

Anywhere in the Monterey area would be great.

Hmm... a bit harsh but on the money I suppose (I actually wouldn't mind
hearing about good places in the Southland too, although Monterey is the
locale of my next trip)

This doesn't qualify as a Tiki bar, but you can't beat the ambience of
Nepenthes, which overlooks the ocean. I can't quite remember if it's in
Monterey proper, but it's in the area, near Highway 1. Anyway, the food is
top rate, the drinks are done right and the live jazz (mostly bop-era
stuff, none of that Syro Gyra, Yellowjackets, Kenny G. tripe) is awesome.
And the view...gorgeous! Check it out!
