Looking for SOOTHING SOUNDS FOR BABY on CDs?

Finally available in the US!!

RAYMOND SCOTT's legendary (and long out-of-print) SOOTHING SOUNDS FOR
BABY has been reissued on 3 separate low-priced CDs on Holland's Basta
label. SSFB are extended, minimalistic lullabyes recorded by Scott
in1962 on primitive electronic instruments. They sound a bit like early
Phillip Glass, Steve Reich or Terry Riley, but pre-date them all. They
are nothing like Scott's familiar cartoon-jazz and orchestral work.

These CDs are difficult to obtain in the US. I'm offering them at the
VERY reasonable price of $30 (+ $5 for U.S. shipping) for 3 separately
packaged CDs. Each is a different volume (supposedly for different-aged
babies), with 11 entirely different tracks (on the 3 CDs). Each package
is identically designed except for some photos and varied color patterns
on the front covers.

The reissue was produced by BEAU HUNKS leader Gert-Jan Blom, and the
gorgeous package, with lots of photos, was designed by Piet Schreuders,
who does the Beau Hunks CDs. (I wrote comprehensive historical liner
notes.)

If interested, please e-mail me at <ghos...@ix.netcom.com> to reserve
a set.

Then send check or M.O. (payable to Irwin Chusid) to:

PO Box 6258
Hoboken, NJ 07030

I'll ship CDs out within 24 hours of receiving payment.
