Am I the only one who looks at this stuff who thinks that Ska is NOT
Lounge?

Please read the playlists, we have two live bands play every week.
This particular show featured Lee Rocker and Pato Banton live!

Although the radio show is called "Ska Parade,"
the program is a celebration of many groovin' musical styles includin'
swing, rockabilly, lounge, etc.... (akin to the Peel Sessions in the UK)

Hope that helps - Tazy

Well, a bit, and may I apologize if my previous post seemed a flame; it
wasn't meant to be...

I still have a tough time calling either Lee Rocker or Pato Banton
either swing or lounge, though I enjoy the music of both artists... just
a discussion on semantics, I suppose!

Don't bother apologizing to that Bozo. I've told him twice that his post/commercials for radio shows that no one can hear are not on-topic here. He doesn't seem to get it. I also enjoy the other artists (to an extent), but they have no place in a forum dedicated to Lounge.

As far as this show being like the Peel Sessions....please! To have an ego so big as to compare yourself to the great John Peel is a joke. Tazy's main claim to fame is that he puts out compilation cds, reaping the benefits of the hard work of the bands. Ask some of the bands what kind of deal he cuts them - they're not too favorable. I know of quite a few bands in Orange County who will have nothing to do with him in any capacity.

Ska is dead. Move on.
