Whatever happened to Jose Melis, the Cuban-American bandleader (1957-1962)
on "The Tonight Show?"
All I know about the man is:
- He was a talented pianist, began playing at age 3
- Served in US Army with Paar (1940s)
- Was dumped from "The Tonight Show" when Johnny Carson took over in 1962
- Sounds great on his late 50s early 60s albums!
