Hey,

I hope there are people out there. Lets get this group going again. And yes, I
do have a topic.

Does anyone know of any good lounge chat or posting pages?

Also, who's your favorite Lounge Artist/Artists?

I like Perez Prado and Les Baxter.

Funny you should ask. I, being the fan of lounge culture I am, have a little
penthouse on the web called Java's Bachelor Pad. (www.soltec.net/~java). I'm
always looking for cool cat and crazy kittens to comment (and maybe contribute) on
the site.

Oh, btw...I can't believe you forgot about the master of Space Age Bachelor Pad
Music...the one...the only...Juan Garcia Esquivel!

Keep swingin'

I'll check out you page post haste.

I forgot about the great Esquivel, because . . . ahem. I'm sort of new to
lounge music. I love retro culture but have only been into the music seen for a
couple of years. I found some exotic on the web and I was hooked ever since.
"Ed Sullivan!"

Let's see..... my favorite.....

Well, I'd be remiss if I didn't start the list with my parents. They
were Jazz musicians and did the Vegas-Tahoe-Reno lounge act thing in
the late 50's through the late 60's. Mom played piano and sang at the
DI (Desert Inn), and Dad was with every lounge groupe you can think
of. The Alley Cats, Curly Wiggins, etc. Dad played Sax. and Played
just abut all the clubs.

Aside from them, I loved the Treniers (the Frontier Hotel), Glen Smith
the Frontier Hotel), Bobby Anderson (The Dunes), Freddy Bell
(Stardust), The Smith Brothers (The Silver Bird), etc....

thanks for the walk down memory lane.

it's my favorite subject.

witelite.
