Hello Hello Hello! J. Walter here to give to you another one of our
life changing, soul enlightening, stomach upsetting updates! As I type
with my hands that bear the scent of powdered laundry detergent, I send
you greetings from us here at Jet Set Six to you, our adoring fans all
over the world! (All in between loads even! I even remembered those
nutty smell good dryer sheets! Woo Hoo!) Oh MY do I have a lot of
really great news to bestow upon you today! Please keep your excitement
at bay, as you don't want to disturb your neighbors like last time!

Opening for Smash Mouth TONIGHT in Syracuse

Wow! This last minute gig is probably the biggest opportunity to
spread the gospel according to the Jet Set since we opened for the
B-52's in Florida earlier this year! We'll be playing Tuesday Night Dec
14th at the Lost Horizon in Syracuse, NY. Come out, bring friends. For
our west coast friends, get a ticket and come out tonight anyway! What
the hell? Needless to say we are really excited. See more on our news
page at http://www.jetsetsix.com.

"Livin' It Up" praised in new book

Ok, we're not usually one to brag (and if you believe THAT...) but our
CD, "Livin' It Up" was recently rated as one of the top 10 neo-swing
CD's in the world in the nationally released The Swing Book by Degan
Pener! Thanks, Degan! You can find it in most larger book stores or
find it at http://www.amazon.com or click here to take you directly
there.

Jet Set Six on BET on Jazz

I don't know if you remember, but we did a live show for the cable
channel BET On Jazz back in March or so. Geez, I forget exactly when.
Regardless, songs from that taping are now being played on the air at
random times! Woo Hoo! Too bad I don't have a TV. I'd be watching all
day and all night for my moment on the tube. On February 1, 2000 at
6am (yeah right!), 2pm, and 10pm EST the full one hour show will be
aired. Three hours of Jet Set Six on national cable television? All in
one day? Television will never be the same. Transistors will be blown.
Screens will fry from the onslaught of sheeny sharkskin savvy! Afraid
you'll forget about it when the big day comes? Don't worry. We'll bug
you about it again. And again. And again. And again.... *evil
laughter*

Our Next Album Underway

It is. We promise! We are inspired and overjoyed at how things are
coming together in the demos we've cut. The creative juices are flowing
and staining like crazy right now. We've been spending much time in the
studio planning, writing, creating, evolving, and eating insanely large
cheeseburgers. I wish I could give you an exact time, but we're
shooting for a release date in Spring. We've mostly been in the
"drawing board" phase right now, however we are expecting to start
cutting the tracks at the beginning of the Millennium. Ahh yes, the
beginning of the next age. Not that we're getting all high and mighty
about it... No. Definitely not mighty...

Welcome Todi!

We would like to give a warm hearted welcome to the newest member of the
Jet Set Six family. Boudicca Todi has come aboard as our new
manager-chicky-baby-dollface*, and we couldn't be happier! She will
also be taking over some of the mailing list and email duties, as
somebody we know (I have no idea who we could be talking about here) has
managed to build up a box of about 400 unanswered emails. *guilty
look* Todi (pronounced like a "hot toddy") will be checking email here
at j...@jetsetsix.com from now on. Do not fear though. I will still be
writing these daftly self-absorbed and issue ridden emails to keep your
percentage of annoyance at an acceptably high enough level. If you
would like to say hello to her, congratulate her, and remind her how
whacked out of her mind she must be to becoming den mother to six little
boys that refuse to grow up, drop her a line at her own email address at
pr...@jetsetsix.com.

* "manager-chicky-baby-dollface" is Todi's official title, as drawn up
in our managerial agreement. Respect and revere it in all it's glory!
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rumors, Lies, and other useless information

First of all, I would like to give a big welcome to John Ceparano to the
world of the internet. John, our illustrious band leader, guitar
player, songwriter, and crafter of all things punny, now has access to a
computer and will have access to the internet within a few days to a
week. Now, he doesn't know that I'm doing this... *giggle* but I am
hoping that the first time he checks his email at jo...@jetsetsix.com he
will have all sorts of nutty messages from you waiting for him. Please
send him your hellos, bad jokes, pet pictures, and links to groovy
technicolor web sites. I'll have him writing some notes to you kids on
future updates as well. Hmmm. What else is going on. OH! If you saw
us at Windows on the World last weekend on Saturday night, you witnessed
the premier (and possibly the demise) of "glam swing!" Oh the joy of
seeing Andy with his head painted silver!

Ok, This is the ONLY time I will do this. (Like I said... if you
believe THAT...) However, I'm going to take this little bit at the end
of the letter for a little blatant self promotion. Just so you know, I
wrote the cover article on Louis Armstrong in the Fall Issue of Atomic
Magazine (http://www.atomicmag.com). It should still be on the stands
if ya wanna check it out and can be found in most larger book stores
(Barnes and Noble and other large overbearing corporate retail empires
that we all hate on the outside but give all our hard earned money to
anyway...) Secondly, for our New York area fans... just so you know
I'll be doing an experiment with my ukulele in a public viewing space
(a.k.a. a bar) this week. I had to double check, yet these actions are
actually legal in New York. If you would like more information, dig the
"upcoming gigs" page on my website that is in severe need of an overhaul
at http://www.bigfoot.com/~blatomaster or if you'd like to get on my
mailing list for my little gigs in NYC, just email me at
blato...@bigfoot.com.

Let's see. The last thing I want to do is show you a couple pictures...

Here's one of Andy, Josef, and me in line for a roller coaster at Great
Adventure in Orlando
http://www.jetsetsix.com/shots/robot.jpg

Here's a kooky shot of us after a carnivorous gorge in the Carolinas...
http://www.jetsetsix.com/shots/pork.jpg

That's about it for now. Please take care of yourselves, bundle up,
have a fabulous holiday, and I hope we'll see each and every one of you
really soon.

love, peace, and instant mashed potatoes,
jwh for jss
