Looking for Lounge

i love lounge music and i was wondering if anyone could give me their
recommendations on where i could take in some really good lounge scenes in new
york city.

in particular, i'm looking for the cliched smoke-filled lounge with a svelte
chick singing in a husky voice. total stereotype, but i happen to love that
kind of singing. think jessica rabbit, think jennifer connelly in dark city.
