Newbie in a new city (Toronto)

Hi all.
I just moved to Toronto (from Saskatoon, who's heard of it?) and
am in a bit of a quandry over where to find the happening places in this
city (mind you, it's plenty easier than back home where naught can be
seen for all the head-banging hair flying...).
I'm just looking for a few pointers to put me in the right
sections of Toronto.
Suggestions on radio stations, record stores, magazine and book depots,
good vintage clothing stores and, Of Course, help in the
always-challenging search for a good watering hole.
Any help you can provide will be very much appreciated.
