Yeah, it's tres cool! It's called Encounters, and it's in the old
"spider building at LAX. Disney Imagineering re-did the interior,
although I don't think they have much to do with the day to day
operations of the place. As soon as you get inside the elevator and
the doors close, you get some wild bongo music that's synchronized
with your short trip. As soon as the doors open, you're in lounge
heaven. There's moon-rock craters everywhere, and the whole thing's
done up in a space age Jetsons meets the Flintstone type of motiff.
The beverage guns that the bartenders use light up and make phaser-gun
noises when used. Not a cheap place to eat or drink, and there's
absolutely no smoking allowed. Still, a fun place to see and be seen.
