It says the server is temporarily unavailable. I tried the other day, there
were too many users. I even tried that IRC stuff, got totally lost. Haven't
a clue how that works.
Is this the only FTP server that has Malayalam movies?

as u've said my ftp has been pretty busy lately.it has its own
limitation, but keep trying.
But if u are looking to get malayalam movies and other multimedia
contents permanently u should really take the effort to learn how IRC
works. it may look little hard at first but it really does worth it.
try to follow the '3 steps' outlined on the
website(www.malumovies.com).
after u installed excursion( excursion is a software use to connect to
any irc network)try to connect to any of the servers listed on the
site...
for ex: type-> /server irc.ircsuper.net 6667 in the STATUS
WINDOW of excursion. if that server doesnt work thats if it shows a
msg "unable to connect to .." try a diffrent server from the list.
after u got connected to a ircsuper server type--> /join malu-movies
that will take directly to #malu-movies channel!!. read all the
help files availble on the site or ask the people in the channel for
further info about downloading movies from #malu-movies.

generally speaking IRC( Internet Relay Chat or Mirc sometimes called)
is a network of networks under one brand-name. this system was
orginaly found in late 80s for the sole purpose of chatting..
but nowdays its being increasingly used for file sharing. bcs it had
been founded yrs before first windows operating stytem came out, it
has a non conventional style compared to typical chatting-filesharing
applications available nowadays.
so , my job is to show u the way to #malu-movies in mirc.... for the
people who dont know whats this " #Malu-movies"... its a mirc channel
( -a virtual meeting place in mirc- )dedicated to share malayalam
multimedia contents including movies , music videos, mp3s. ets among
its users for free.
#malu-movies is currently -( as of april 2003, it may change in long
run. refer to the channel site www.malumovies.com)- located in a
Mirc network called "Ircsuper". ---remeber i said earlier, Mirc is a
network of networks, Ircsuper is the network where u can find
#malu-movies
so now u need to connect ur PC to this network by using an Irc script
(- software to connect to IRC) there are hundreds of free scripts
available on the web but #malu-movies recomend a script or software
called "Excursion". their web adress is- http://www.excursion.cjb.net/
- download the current version (9.4.2 is the latest as of now bye
the way) and install it!!
once u installed->open the program -> fill out the required fields
-(in Option window, Connect tab;it will show up when u open for the
first time-) ie: nickname, email adrdess etc. and click ok.
--------------dont click on "Connect to IRC Server" button--if u do,
u will end up in some other network and will get lost , so
beware.....*bcs Ircsuper network is not listed there*
take special notice of the server address listed on the channel site,
i will list few of them here(3 separate server address). again, always
refer to the site for updated server information

/server matrix.ircsuper.net 6667
/server dragons.ircsuper.net 6667

copy and paste one of the above ircsuper server address in the status
window of Excursion-- (the software u supposed to use) and press
enter...
now relax... excursion will try to connect to that particular
server... wait 10-50 seconds... if it has been successful connecting,
long txt messages from the server u connected to will appear on ur
status window. if it does be happy:) if it doesnt, it will probably
shows a error msg saying" Unable to connect to.....). if u saw this
msg more than 3-4 times try a diffrent server address. if it didnt
work either repeat the above steps with another server ...... remember
there are more than one servers in a network.

if u successfully completed all the above steps , u r now ready to
join #malu-movies
just type and enter-> /join malu-movies
in the status window
that will take u rt to the channel where u want to go:)) hopefully if
u dont miss spelled it
*take special note that the symbol between 'malu' and 'movies' is a
minus sign.
so all u've left to do is to download and share movies.., plenty of
help materials r available in the website or even join our help
channel #malu-help by typing and entering /join malu-help in the
status window ask for help... the people there are there to help u....

Well, Canada is close enough I hope... :) As for FTP servers, don't have a
clue. This is the first time I heard of it. I have found, on occassion, some
Hindi movies on simpler things like Kazaa, but never any Malayalam clips or
movies. There is the odd Malayalam website out there that plays little clips
with incredibly tiny resolution using realplayer streaming files, absolutely
a waste of time.
I intend to give that IRC thing another go, see where I get.

pin-point whats really wrong. try to get files from different people
and also try downloading diffrent kind of files.
you may also want to try this:
go to File->Option->DCC (tab)-> Folders (tab):
disable "DCC Ignore" or set it as it wont ignore any file
types u want to download.
let me know if it worked.
