hi everyone!

i was reading the article on "Parva"...
was there any kannada writer who wrote Mahabharata keeping
Duryodhana as the Hero...
as far as i remember if not in kannada, there is a Mahabharatha
written by a very well known author with Duryodhana as the Hero...
can anyone show some light regarding this...

thanks..

PS: i had not read ack for a few days and just now read all the
articles on Dr. HN and Sudhi... i have been follwoing Sudhi's articles
right from when ACK was created...he seems to be very reasonable
and knowledgeble person...and i sincerely feel that he points should be well
taken. maybe some people inferred it differently...

I remember reading "Gada Yudda" in which the author portray
Duryodhana as the hero (I mean main character). If I remember right the
author is Pampa. (If I am wrong someone correct me).

HI
This is with reference to the question that if Duryodhana
was ever a hero in any Kannada novel. I beleive that Ranna's
"GADA YUDDHA" does portray him as a hero. It makes the reader
feel sorry for him.

A famous Kannada poet Ranna has written "Gadhayuddha" in which Duryodhana
is Suyodhana (Su = Good) and it is glorification of Dhuryodhana. He is
a jain poet who belongs to BC I guess. His Gadhayuddha kavya is in

I think Kuvempu has written a version of Mahabharatha (atleast a part of it)
treating Dhuryodhana as a hero.
