The Kannada film song lyricsists (Baredavaru) take pride in showing the
audience, the HERO's prowess in English. Has anybody noticed that there are
so many English "Udhgaras" in kannada songs?(Mostly annavaru's).

1. My name is Raj. Waat is ur name please please (havina hede).
2. Hoovinda bareda katheya. Mullinda barede naanu...
Saary. I am very Saary (by annavaru in the same movie).
3. Mary mary mary I love (3) - (Shravana bantu)
4. Love me or Hate me (Shanker-guru)
5. If U come today, It is too earrly
If U come tommarow, It is too late
U pick the TTime , Ah TIC TIC TIC...sss Doarling.
An outright english song by Annavaru.
6. WHat is liffe...sss? Life is a song.
Then sing it , I say.. Prema Preeti ... (Singaporinalli Raja-kulla).
7. Happies moment every event... (Bili hendti)
The following lines are really uncomprehensible. Can a fellow-netter help?

I can't think of anything else.

Wasn't this by Khareem Khan ... Does anyone know if he is still
around ... one of the several celebrities from `Gandhi Bazaaru'
of early eighties. The others ... beginning from Masti, Lankesh,
Sumatindra, Ananta Swamy, Vyasa Rao, TSR (he passed away
around that time), YNK, Adiga (well, almost - Jayanagara),
Prasanna, ... forget it ... too many to mention :-)

K S Nissar Ahmed, and others wrote poems
- `Manasu Gandhi Bazaaru', `Gandhi Bazaarinalli ondu sanje',
`Gandhi Bazarinallondu nadu besigeya muchchanjeya samaya' -
on "our" Gandhi Bazaaru.

Speaking of our Gandhi Bazaaru, is that wonderful magazine
"Prajamatha" still around ... (they used to have good color
pictures of test match actions, plus the other columns :-)

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

There is a song in "Besugey" that goes : "Life is a merry melody,
love is a haunting rhapsody..." sung by Vani Jayaram(?). As far
as I can remember, it is entirely in English, a la ANNavru's
"If you come today..." song.

Also "Maria my darling" from the movie of the same title. I think
this one is mostly in Kannada.

I don't believe in astrology too. We Leos aren't taken in by
such things... :-) :-) :-)

I am trying to recall a very old kannada song may be (!) from "School
Master " The song goes like this :
'Rikshaw gadi ..... e roadige nane MASTERRRRR... e gadige eilla METER...
e roadige ella .....
Thats all I can recall, it is a great old song ! The singer is P.B.

Another song from Shankar Nag's movie , it was a big hit. I really miss
Shankar Nag's movies nowadays.
"Love me...Allow me...To love you..... (I still remember that Silk
smitha was the dancer....it was a hot ...dance..uh !)

Rikshaw gaadi Mister
Rikshaw gaadi Mister
Ee roadige naane Master
Ee gaadigilla motor
Modale illa meter
Neev banniri illa danger...

PBS from ONDE BALLIYA HOOVUGALU, 1967.
Music: Satyam. Lyrics: Geethapriya.
Picturised on Ranga in the beautiful city of Mysuru.
Yes, the film had the only Rafi song in Kannada,

Other songs in the movie by K J Jesudas, B K Sumitra are also lovely.
