Name of a kannada film....

Hi there,

I would like to know the name of a kannada film:

Vishnuvardhan was the hero and his name was Gowri Manohari in the movie. In
the movie, he hads some 6 children, and the heroine (I forgot the name), 5.
Both get married and end up with 11 children!!

The movie was a remake of a similar movie in Hindi.

Can anyone tell me the name of the movie in Kannada? If possible,
the hindi equivalent too?

Well the name of the Hindi movie is Khatte Metta, the actors were Ashok Kumar, Rakesh Roshan.
I don't know the kannada movie name.

The title was "Makkala Sainya" ... and if you want Lankesh's
version of it "Makkala Crourya" - that was what he called it in
his review - he was on target, I think!

It was made simultaneously in Tamil and Kannada. The heroine
had a thick tamil accent! I don't think it was ever made in
Hindi.

The name of the movie is Makkala Sainya, remade or dubbed in
Tamil as Mazhalai Pattalam. It was directed by K.Balachander.

Hi Netters,
Makkala Sainya was made made simultaniously in Kannada and Tamil.And it's
director was non other than the famous actress Lakshmi.
