I think you folks are making too much of a business-based
spam operation. The "news" articles are not the primary
thing here, the signature is. It seems the idea is to attract
a certain type of people (mostly Indian or Indian origins, with
superstitious faith in astrology) to the web-site, who will then
pay large or small sums of money (depending upon their net worth),
in return for various "future tellings", faith healings, and such.

As usual, lots of free stuff is given out, e.g. "Free
biorhythm", "Free chart" etc, in order to pacify
and grab those caught in the web.
In the big scheme of things, I don't know if there
is too much evil here. The people who go to these
things are weak minded, and would have spent the
money on something else equally worthless. So
it's small evil only. (Though a lot of these
astrologers can bring down a healthy civilization,
like maggotts.) Certain xenophobic tendencies
may be getting implanted though.
Of coure, a side effect is targeted spamming, which may
be considered the biggest evil by usenetters...

an agenda of xenophobia and hatred against Christians and Muslims in
India. He also actively encourages deadly violence against these

It would appear to be strictly business -- because the
weak-minded usually need scapegoats for everything
that's wrong. So he gives them a vent and
attracts them to his website for personal consultations.
Many of them would pay him just for the chat, and would
easily convince themselves that _all_ his prophecies
came true.
It's indeed a bad thing though, as you say -- the best
defense may be to address the business case by pointing
out repeatedly that his prophecies have been proved
to be wrong.

But the point is, the motive is commercial.
And all of this ends up as food for your mind.
Trusting it is like trusting some commercial from
a food company for your nutritional needs.
You have to use common sense. The food company is
