The residents of Wood Valley.. especially Mary Lester are
calling for help. VOG is contaminating their bodies and
their homes.. as well as the land.
The picture of Mary Lester shows serious sulphuric acid
consequences.. its in her eyes.. her skin.
One can see her cry for help.
These people have paid taxes and worked hard to contribute
to the economy.
Now it is time for the state government and the wealthy
corporations to come to their aid.
There are thousands of empty condos, resort rooms that
could provide temporary shelter.. to give these unfortunate
residents a chance to restary their lives.
It could happen to you and me..
Will there be anyone who will listen?
Will there be anyone who will help?

well and notwithstanding that he is all the way over there in the eastern
half of Canada, is concerned enough to seek help for those folks in Wood
Valley on the Big Island. You can't fault him for feeling that way, can
you? After all, John not only is not in Hawaii, he is not even in the USA!
What I think you should be doing is point out that John, given his much
sincere and poignant concern for these poor folks, should do something much
more concrete and useful like opening his home to these people. After all,
much as the sympathetic Canadians back when made the draft dodgers of the
USA welcome, John - being a Canadian - can well do similarly today. And
having done that personally, John can well encourage his neighbors and
others in his city to similarly welcome these Wood Valley people once he
experiences the courtesy, respect, and appreciation rendered onto him by
those he has welcomed to his home. After all, we are not talking thousands
or even hundreds of these Wood Valley folks - that Star Bulleltin article

responsibility for their own choices and actions. I'm tired of paying

Because perhaps we "allow" the government to help these people out in the
event they encounter problems, by their "choices"? Perhaps, that is what we
want our government to do, when people make such "poor" choices? After all,
when there is ANY natural disaster, and even man made disaster, our
government does "help out" the people who have suffered as a result of their
choices, don't they? Would you say that the government should not have
helped the people of New Orleans, or for that matter anyone who lost their
homes and businesses when a hurricane (or other natural disaster) goes
through their area? How about the "help" people are getting who are losing
their homes because they made a "poor" decision, when they bought homes they
could not afford to make payments on? Or when the government "bails out"
companies who are in on the verge of going broke because of the "poor"
choices their executives made?
